Meet Noni Komodromou
Founder | Piano Instructor | Music Psychology Specialist
Noni Komodromou began her musical journey at the age of 8, taking piano lessons at the Ellinikon Odeon in Nicosia. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the Sofia State Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in 2004.
Over the years, she has enriched her skills through masterclasses with internationally renowned pianists such as Lotte Jekely (Germany), Prof. Kazimierz Gierżod (Poland), Paul McClure (UK), Prof. Stella Dimitrova (Bulgaria), and Neil Barry (UK). She has also performed in numerous concerts across Cyprus and Bulgaria.
In 2013, Noni earned a Master of Arts in Music Psychology in Education from the University of Sheffield. Her research focused on anxiety in piano performance, a subject she continues to explore with passion and depth.
She is the founder of Anima School of Music, where she has been offering high-quality piano and music theory lessons since 2004. Noni specializes in working with young children, combining her expertise in piano pedagogy and psychology to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment.
She is currently writing her first book, a piano method for children, aiming to make music education both joyful and effective.
Many of Noni's students have continued their musical journey beyond lessons, becoming accomplished musicians and pianists. Over the years, several have participated in concerts, recitals, and piano competitions, gaining valuable performance experience and recognition.
Echoes of Ethos: Passion, Purpose and Piano
Teaching the piano is more than sharing notes and rhythms — it's about opening hearts to the beauty of music. My vision is to guide each student on a personal journey where they discover not only how to play, but how to feel, express, and connect through music. I believe that every child or adult who sits at the piano carries a story, and I want to help them tell it with honesty and passion. I dream of planting seeds of creativity and confidence that will blossom for a lifetime — whether on stage, at home, or simply in their soul.
As a piano teacher, I hold strong values that shape every lesson and guide my relationships with students and their families. Passion is at the heart of everything I do — I believe music should be lived, felt, and shared with joy. I value honesty and open communication, not only with students but also with parents, working together as a team to support each child’s growth. I care deeply about each student’s well-being and always teach with kindness, patience, and respect. Health and safety — both physical and emotional — are essential in my studio. Above all, I am deeply committed to every student’s journey, celebrating their progress and nurturing their love for music every step of the way.
